From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. 24: The tactics
So, it appears that Manchester United are trying to play 4-4-2 in possession with Young in midfield and Bailly at right-back and then switching to 5-3-2 when they lose the ball, except the transition is allowing PSG to attack that side of the pitch.
28 minutes in and Manchester United's possession has reached the dizzy heights of 15 per cent.
Porto 1-0 Roma (2-2)
Porto take the lead on the night and are going through as it stands!
28: Kehrer continues his awful start to the game by slipping to let Rashford in behind him. The forward has Lukaku and Pereira in the box to aim a low cross at but just slings the ball out of play. What a waste.
GOAL!!!!
PSG 1-2 Manchester United (3-2)
LUKAKU!!!
Everyone's favourite goalkeeper Buffon hands Manchester United a way back into the game!!
Rashford finds a bit of space and tests the goalkeeper from range with a swerving shot. The PSG man neither catches or pushes the ball away and the result is that the ball is presented on a plate for Lukaku to tap in his second. GAME BACK ON!
34: Di Maria clatters into McTominay after the United defender clears the ball and picks up the first caution of the evening.
35: Well this is no surprise. Bailly is being brought off for Dalot as Solskjaer responds to PSG's joy on that wing.
36: So close! Oh offside anyway.
Young clips a deep free kick beyond the PSG defence and Rashford flashes a shot wide after touching down the delivery. He went a fraction too early and the late flag would have ruled out anything anyway.
It's just another sign that this PSG defence is very susceptable to switching off.
GOAL!
Porto 1-1 Roma (2-3)
De Rossi converts from the penalty spot and Roma are back in control.
Militao concedes a stonewall penalty after growing frustrated with Perotti's trickery in the box and the referee point to the spot after an ill-timed lunge.
