From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Madrid, buoyed by the presence of the 2017/18 Champions League top-scorer, Cristiano Ronaldo (11), will be looking to progress to the quarter finals and mount a charge for their third UCL title in four years.
PSG have been shaken by the news that the world’s most expensive player, Neymar, has fractured a metatarsal in his right foot, and is expected to be out for the remainder of the season. Angel Di Maria is expected to deputise in his place for the clash against Madrid on Tuesday night.
PSG are also reportedly confident that centre-back Marquinhos, midfielder Marco Verratti and forwards Kylian Mbappe and Edison Cavani will be ready after minor fitness concerns ahead of the clash.

Real Madrid to win: 13/5
57' - PSG haven't really shown much of a reaction to going a goal down and Madrid still look really dangerous on the counter-attack.
Remember, if the visitors grab another goal PSG will need five to progress.
59' - PSG's Edinson Cavani attempts an acrobatic effort on goal after good work by Kylian Mbappe but the Uruguayan's shot deflects behind for a corner, which comes to nothing for the hosts.
63' - Zinedine Zidane's decision to play Mateo Kovacic ahead of the likes of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos has certainly been vindicated so far.
The Croat has been superb alongside Casemiro in the centre of Madrid's midfield.
66' - Marco Verratti is sent off for the hosts!
The Italian midfielder was booked for a foul in the first half and he's just been shown a second yellow for dissent after a refereeing decision didn't go his way.
69' - WOODWORK!
Marco Asensio comes close to doubling the visitors' lead but his first-time shot rebounds off Alphonse Areola's near post after Karim Benzema's cut-back.
