From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Tottenham Hotspur travel to Turin to face Juventus, last season’s runners-up, in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash.

Spurs, fresh off the back of last weekend’s victory in the north London derby, will be looking to take the game to their Italian counterparts before the second leg at Wembley in three weeks’ time.

Mauricio Pochettino was full of praise for his squad after their victory against Arsenal but said he wants his players to be even “braver” against Juventus.

What time does it start?

Juventus vs Tottenham kicks off at 7.45pm on Tuesday 13 February at the Juventus Stadium.

Where can I watch it?

The match will be shown live on BT Sport 2 from 7pm. Highlights will be shown at 10.45pm on ITV 1 on Wednesday night.

It’s a big game for…

Dele Alli. The 21-year-old has not enjoyed his best season at Spurs with only five Premier League goals so far.

Question marks are being raised about his recent form but it’s in games like these where the Alli can silence the doubters.

He scored twice in Spurs’ memorable victory against Real Madrid in November, and has three assists in his three Champions League appearances this campaign.

Weird stat…

1 in 16. Spurs might be heading to Italy buoyed by their domestic form but they’re taking on a Juventus team that has astonishingly conceded only one goal in their last 16 games in all competitions.

Remember when…

Spurs have never faced Juventus in a competitive clash but the sides came together in a friendly last summer as Kane and Eriksen goals helped Spurs to victory.

They will be hoping for the same scoreline this time around.

Player to watch…

Jan Vertonghen. A lot of the Belgian’s work goes unnoticed but with Toby Alderweireld missing through injury for much of this season, Vertonghen has become Spurs’ most valuable defender.

If Pochettino’s men are hoping to bring a good result back to London they are likely to need another good performance from their centre half.
