Play resumes. Ben Arfa runs past Torreira but Arsenal clear their lines, Ozil slots Iwobi into the box and Iwobi flicks it across the area looking for Aubameyang on the far post. Koubek intercepts and punches it away.

Sokratis challenges Hunou and the Rennes striker hits the deck as though he's been clobbered by Anthony Joshua. Free kick to the home side, Bourigeaud delivers but Mexer is offside.

Arsenal win a free kick out wide to the left of the box. Mkhitaryan plays it quickly to Ozil who sends it to Monreal. Monreal pulls it back and Mustafi shoots sending it wide of the far post.

Arsenal work the ball froward quickly and Ozil dinks one through the centre-backs into the path of Aubameyang who is ruled offside.
Rennes attack into space and Sokratis comes flying out to challenge Ben Arfa, winning the first yellow card of the match in the progress.

Ben Arfa curls the free kick around the wall with his left foot but Cech dives to his right and pushes the ball away. Hunou gets a look at goal and fires a shot over the bar. Rennes are getting themselves back in this game.
Unai Emery accosts the referee again and is told to calm down.

Torreira and Bourigeaud clash in a 50-50 challenge with the Arsenal man coming off worse. Sarr makes a good run at Xhaka and tries to play in Hunou but only gets a deflection into the hands of Cech.

Sokratis pulls down Sarr as Rennes make a quick break towards the visitors box. Sokratis gets a second yellow card and Arsenal are down to ten men.

Bourigeaud and Ben Arfa wait over the free kick just left of the box. Bourigeaud takes the free kick and hits the wall, the ball rebounds back to him and he makes a thundering strike that beats Cech and gives Rennes an equaliser.
