Barca have won their first three La Liga games, scoring nine and conceding none, and they already sit four points clear of bitter rivals Real Madrid - a side many rate as the best in Europe.

It's a big game for...
Ousmane Dembele. Neymar was Barcelona's undoubted star of the Champions League last season, almost single-handedly turning the round of 16 tie against PSG around before then joining the club this summer. Can the young Frenchman Barca replaced him with live up to the hype? Tuesday night's game will be a big test for the winger after a bit-part debut against Espanyol at the weekend. The Camp Nou expects.
Player to watch...
Paulo Dybala. Tipped as a long-term replacement for Messi at both Barcelona and in the Argentina national team, but yet another player the Camp Nou hierarchy failed to land this summer. Quite brilliant in Juve's run to the final last season, including an imperious display when these two sides met in Turin when he scored a brace. Another performance like that and Barca fans will be imploring the club to sign him.

45 mins: Man Utd 1 Basel 0: Two minutes of stoppage time are signalled at Old Trafford. The weather conditions that were poor at kick-off have worsened, but Jose Mourinho will be delighted to see his side take a lead in at the break.
45 mins: GOAL! BARCELONA 1 JUVENTUS 0: Lionel Messi scores past Gianluigi Buffon for the first time and Barcelona have the lead at the Camp Nou. It was a brilliantly worked goal that saw the Argentine play a one-two with Luis Suarez before stroking into the far corner.
SECOND HALF KICK-OFF: The rain looks to have stopped as Basel restart the contest at Old Trafford. The Swiss side kept a compact shape in the first half but the onus may now be on Raphael Wicky's team to attack with them a goal behind. Can United take advantage is space begins to open up in the latter stages?

No goals for the Swiss at Old Trafford but there has been one scored by a Swiss striker in Lisbon. Haris Seferovic has flicked Benfica into the lead against their Russian opponents at the start of the second half.

A second header, a second goal and Manchester United are on course for a winning start on their return to the Champions League. The home side won a corner after a positive Anthony Martial run and shot had been thwarted by Tomas Vaclik, but from the subsequent set-piece, Daley Blind stepped up a perfect left-wing cross for Romelu Lukaku to power in.
