Meanwhile Luton Town are making their first appearance in the Premier League, having risen from non-league in an incredible decade of progress. They followed Championship winners Burnley and second-placed Sheffield United in earning promotion to the top flight.

Olise stands up a ball into the box after getting the better of Trusty and Slimane. Mateta throws himself at the ball but, again, Grbic does well to push the cross away before the Blades defence can clear it fully.

Palace win a free-kick centrally and Eze immediately grabs the ball. It's too far out for a touch so Eze takes it quickly, feeding Ayew. He slips in Lerma but the Colombian slips at the vital moment as he looks to cross the ball in.

Olise and Ayew - back in the starting lineup - are looking lively. The former's clipped cross finds the Ghanaian at the back stick but his header into the box - looking for Mateta - is caught by Grbic.

It's been all Palace since the goal as Mitchell, this time, swings the ball in from the left. Trusty heads out for a corner.
