Liverpool head to Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon, hoping for a third win in a week to start to put pressure back on Manchester City at the top of the Premier League. Victory for the Reds would leave them nine points adrift of the reigning champions with a game in hand, following their draw with Southampton on Saturday. Jurgen Klopp’s team have rediscovered form of late after a slight stutter, beating Brentford last weekend before dispatching Arsenal in midweek to reach the Carabao Cup final.

For Palace, this has undoubtedly been a season of progress and putting into place building blocks for an exciting-looking future, after a summer squad overhaul and the appointment of Patrick Vieira as manager. They sit 13th in the table, with just one win from the last five following a draw at Brighton last time out.

Victory would push the Eagles back into the top half, though the scale of their task is underlined by the fact the Reds have emerged triumphant in all of the last nine competitive meetings between these two teams, including a 3-0 win at Anfield in September and a 7-0 thrashing at Selhurst Park last term. Follow all the team news and match action as Crystal Palace host Liverpool below:

75 mins: Great work from Lloris. N’Golo Kante is on in place of Jorginho and he works the ball over to Ziyech who slides the ball into the right side of the box for Chelsea. Mount gets to it first and attempts to pick out Lukaku but he’s closed down by the Tottenham goalkeeper who blocks the pass.

72 mins: Close! Ziyech fails to clear his lines gives the ball to Tottenham deep in his own half. It’s played inside to Steven Bergwijn who lays the ball off to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. Matt Doherty sweeps in from the right as Hojbjerg threads the ball into the box. Doherty stretches to reach the pass but it just evades him! If he gets there in time, he’s in on goal with just Kepa Arrizabalaga to beat.

67 mins: Chelsea win a corner and could have a penalty. Cesar Azpilicueta certainly wants one. As the ball comes in Azpilicueta tries to get past Oliver Skipp. Skipp holds his ground but he’s grappling with the Chelsea captain, almost like a rugby tackle, and both men go to ground. Spurs head the ball away and the referee blows the whistle giving the visitors a free kick judging Azpilicueta to be at fault.

64 mins: Great work from Sanchez to deny Chelsea a third goal. The Blues sweep down the right and give the ball to Ziyech. He cuts inside and threads the ball into the box. Lukaku runs in behind and will have a chance on goal but Sanchez sticks out his right leg and intercepts the ball.
