Despite dominating both ball and territory for most of the first half, Chelsea walk down the tunnel level with a dogged Nottingham Forest side, who have posed some threat through set-piece situations and with the occasional counter-attack. Too often, the home side have taken the wrong option in and around the opposition area, and they have managed just one shot on target. While Forest will be pleased with their performance so far, their hosts must do better in the final third.

Sterling drives in from the right touchline once again, but rather than picking out a team-mate on the other side of the area, he opts to drive a low shot through a thicket of red-shirted defenders. Worrall's block sends the ball behind for a corner.
