Liverpool were winners back in 2020 ending a 30-year wait for league glory and Jurgen Klopp is sure to have them back challenging again at the sharp end this season too while Manchester United will be looking to be back in the title picture with Cristiano Ronaldo returning to his former club in the summer.
It's not all about the action at the top though with Norwich, Watford and Brentford promoted to the top tier for 2020/21 and hoping to hold their own against the best English football has to offer and avoid the drop.

A massive, massive win for Burnley puts them within just a point of Everton on the right side of the Premier League trapdoor. Their next game is before Everton's, meaning they could be out of the bottom three before the Toffees take on Liverpool! Saints, meanwhile, miss the chance to go ninth, and remain all-but safe in 13th.

Brownhill set up both of Burnley's first-half goals, and completed five key passes in total throughout the game. He also completed four crosses from six attempts, won two fouls and won possession seven times too. Industrious.

Their first home game without Sean Dyche in the dugout, and the Clarets produced a masterful performance to put away Southampton with very little difficulty! The second half yielded no goals, but the game management from Burnley was exceptional and gives them real hope that Premier League survival is a more than achieveable goal!

This performance has been excellent from start to finish from the Clarets. Southampton may have had more noteworthy chances in this half than the first, but Burnley have consistently tested Forster, and you wouldn't bet against them adding a third before the game is done!
