Follow live coverage as Brighton & Hove Albion face Wolverhampton Wanderers today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.

The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Brighton will be content with this half, Hurzeler will be keen to translate the possession into more opportunities but they have kept Wolves at bay. O'Neil needs to get his side to be calmer on the ball, as every time they have won it back they have been eager to start something quickly and it has often failed.

It is definitely a deserved lead for Brighton. They have dominated the ball and the one proper time they get in behind Wolves' defence they punish them, with a well-taken Welbeck shot. Wolves could have been up early on in the first-half when Doyle struggled to keep his strike down but since then Wolves struggled and will have to find something else in the second-half.

Rutter tries to wriggle away from multiple Wolves players and find an opening for a shot. He doest that, but his shot is blocked and Baleba meets the rebound with a shot of his own. That effort was also defended well. Wolves have managed to ensure that Brighton's possession doesn't turn into shots.
