This year sees Manchester City try to defend their crown and claim a historic fourth title in succession. Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering City, who also won the Champions League and FA Cup last season, will have to see off Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and the rest to claim an unprecedented sixth league title in seven years.
Meanwhile Luton Town are making their first appearance in the Premier League, having risen from non-league in an incredible decade of progress. They followed Championship winners Burnley and second-placed Sheffield United in earning promotion to the top flight.

Brighton are looking to do something they have never done here – beat Fulham in the Premier League! The Seagulls have failed to win any of the teams' six all-time meetings in the competition (three draws, three defeats), the most they have faced any team without winning.

GREAT DOUBLE SAVE! How are Brighton not ahead?! A patient move ends with Baleba finding space to shoot from the edge of the box. He looks for the top-left corner with a sweet strike, but Leno dives across to push it away. Mitoma keeps the attack alive with a looping cross which evades Robinson and finds Adingra at the far post, but Leno pokes it to safety with his right foot before the Brighton man can finish into a gaping net!

Now Mitoma gets his first chance to advance down the Brighton left, with the Japan star reaching the byline before looking for a cutback. It's behind Ferguson, though, and a luminous pink shirt gets to the loose ball before any of Brighton's midfield runners.

Unlucky! Fulham threaten as Robinson threads a good pass into the feet of Jimenez, who had Dunk pinned. The Mexican lays it off for Iwobi, but his touch inside the area is loose and Brighton escape.

Fulham finally get a foot on the ball after a sustained spell of Brighton possession. Robinson looks for Willian with a throughball into the left channel, but Webster comes across with a good sliding challenge.
