As for Villa, Emery makes five alterations to the team that lost to Manchester United during the week. Similar to Brighton, the away side change their goalkeeper and full-backs. Martinez retains his Premier League spot, coming in for Olsen, with Cash and Digne replacing Young and Augustinsson. The only defender to retain their place is Konsa, with Mings playing at centre-back instead of Chambers. Buendia starts at left wing with Ollie Watkins out of the squad, meaning that Ings leads the Villa attack.
