They travel to Watford next, as they look to carry on this run that has now seen them win four of their last five league matches. Defeat for the Hammers means they lose pace on their rivals for the European qualification spots, and they will now turn their attention towards that crucial Europa League quarter-final second-leg against Lyon in midweek. They will host relegation-threatened Burnley next in the league, as they look to get back in the win column.

The referee blows the whistle, and the hosts run out comfortable winners with a 2-0 scoreline. They went closest in the first half as the game went to the break goalless, with Mbeumo fizzing a shot towards the top left corner, which Fabianski tipped round the post. The Frenchman was the man to break the deadlock though, after he cleverly was put through by Toney early into the second half. Mbeumo shot first time, firing past Fabianski to make it 1-0. Toney doubled his side's advantage on 64 minutes, when Mbeumo was able to hook the ball back across goal from a Henry cross. The former Peterborough striker was there waiting, and nodded home to make it 2-0. The visitors tried to get back into the game late on but struggled to create much of note, with Benrahma sending a deflected effort just over in injury time against his former club. The Bees defended well though, and saw out the remainder of the game to secure the three points.
