An enterprising Brentford were not to be denied despite hitting the woodwork an astonishing three times, coming back from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against Everton at the GTech Community Stadium. Gordon’s opener was somehow the only goal of the game for more than an hour despite Frank’s side often catching their opposing defence out of sorts but trickery from set-pieces finally paid off, with Lewis-Potter finding Janelt at the far post with a flick-on to level the match. The result keeps Everton in 17th, while Brentford are ninth.
