Arteta on north London derby: 'It's special. I really like it. I's intense'

Tottenham captain Son Heung-min’s brace earned his side a 2-2 draw at Arsenal in the Premier League as the visitors twice came from behind in an absorbing derby on Sunday.

Cristian Romero’s own goal after 26 minutes handed Arsenal the lead but Son equalised shortly before halftime as the visitors grew into the game.

Romero then conceded a penalty that was converted by Bukayo Saka in the 54th minute but Tottenham hit back almost immediately as Son punished a terrible mistake by Arsenal substitute Jorginho.

Both sides had chances to take maximum points with Son close to a hat-trick for Tottenham and Saka having a shot saved. Ten minutes of stoppage time could not separate the sides as the draw ensured both remain undefeated in the league this season with 14 points from six games.

Arsenal 2-2 Tottenham

66 mins: Spurs continue to look bright and positive in the final third, perhaps more so than their opposition, as Kulusevski wins a free-kick in a promising position out on the right.

It’s whipped in by Maddison but cleared away by the Arsenal defence.

Arsenal 2-2 Tottenham

63 mins: An enforced change for Spurs as Johnson looks like he’s injured himself tracking back. Solomon comes on to replace the Welshman out on the left wing.

Shortly after, Maddison tries his luck from the edge of the box but it’s blazed well over the bar.

Arsenal 2-2 Tottenham

60 mins: The game slows down - ever so slightly - after those chaotic few minutes. What a response from Spurs having gone behind again in unfortunate circumstances and what a final half an hour we know have.

GOAL! Arsenal 2-2 Tottenham (Son, ‘55)

Less than a minute and Spurs are level right from kick-off!

Jorginho loses the ball straight away and Spurs are through with Maddison. The midfielder draws the Arsenal defence before sliding in Son who makes no mistake with a cool finish across the keeper and into the bottom corner.

It’s the fixture that just keeps on giving.

Saka steps up and fires home! Vicario goes to his right but it’s clipped down the middle. Arsenal lead once again.

Arsenal 1-1 Tottenham

PENALTY! Robert Jones takes a look and points to the spot! There wasn’t much Romero could do but it matters not. An own goal in the first half and now the Argentine has conceded a penalty early in the second.

Arsenal 1-1 Tottenham

50 mins: PENALTY APPEAL! The ball bounces in the area from the corner and White swings a boot at it. The effort is deflected away but there are furious appeals from the Arsenal players.

Replays show it hit Romero’s hand, although the Argentine was very close to White when the ball was struck.

VAR has a look and the ref now heads to the monitor.

Arsenal 1-1 Tottenham

49 mins: It’s given away cheaply by Arsenal in defence as Johnson gets the chance to break up the left. The Welsh forward eventually runs out of options, though, as Saliba makes the tackle.

KICK-OFF! Arsenal 1-1 Tottenham

Back under way in the second half after those changes. Could Rice’s absence boost Spurs hopes?

Arsenal 1-1 Tottenham

A double change at the break for Arsenal. Vieira comes on for Havertz and, surprisingly, Rice makes way for Jorginho.

Perhaps a slight injury for the Englishman?
