Follow live coverage as Arsenal face Brighton & Hove Albion today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.

The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Arsenal vs Brighton & Hove Albion

Minteh catches Odegaard after reaching the ball first and the Norwegian is feeling this one. There's no intent in it, but it's a painful one nonetheless in the centre of the park.

White switches to Trossard on the left excellently, before it's crossed to Odegaard... but he hits it straight at Verbruggen! Tame!

Milner is down. It looks like a muscular tweak. Ayari is readying himself on the touchline as we have a brief water break.

Minteh with the header! Joao Pedro whips in a delightful ball from the left, deep to the back post. Minteh times his run to perfection and beats Timber in the air before forcing Raya to save brilliantly low to his left.

Rare Brighton move here. Baleba rushes onwards on the left but is forced back. Hurzeler's side are looking to find composure after a real stretch just now. Brighton have won three of their seven Premier League away games against Arsenal (D1 L3). They’re one of just three teams to have won more or as many visits to the Emirates as they’ve lost in the competition, along with Manchester City (W7 L6) and Swansea City (W3 L3).

Dunk blocks! Hinshelwood needs help here, Saka just keeps going at him. It's cleared only as far as White who strikes powerfully, but Dunk's (naturally positioned) arm clips it behind for a corner on the left. That corner comes in and Gabriel touches it behind under pressure from Joao Pedro.

Arsenal continue to have joy down the right side. Saka is giving Hinshelwood a real runaround today so far. Again, he gets through, but his low cross goes straight to Verbruggen.

Saka drills the right-sided free-kick low and into the wall. He gets it back and reworks it with Odegaard. The Norwegian lofts it over for Saka and he forces another stop from Verbruggen! Could've done better there...

Trossard against his former club here, he flies down the left and crosses early for Havertz to run on to. Dunk and co. can only watch. It's just too far for the German attacker though. In the next phase, Saka gets the better of Hinshelwood again, and the England man is brought down just outside of the penalty area.
