This year sees Manchester City try to defend their crown and claim a historic fourth title in succession. Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering City, who also won the Champions League and FA Cup last season, will have to see off Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and the rest to claim an unprecedented sixth league title in seven years.
Meanwhile Luton Town are making their first appearance in the Premier League, having risen from non-league in an incredible decade of progress. They followed Championship winners Burnley and second-placed Sheffield United in earning promotion to the top flight.

SO CLOSE! Again, Spurs are caught out by Bournemouth's attack from the left, and Kluivert lays it off to Semenyo on the edge of the box. He hits the shot first time, whipping it towards the near top corner, but it hits the side netting.

It's slid into the box for Solanke, and he spins away from Van de Ven to get in on goal, but then unselfishly chooses to square it to the far post for Kluivert instead. The winger wasn't expecting it, and he can't make contact with it.

When the referee goes back to award the free-kick to Bournemouth, he also shows Bissouma a yellow card for the tackle.

Semenyo tracks back to win the ball back deep in his own half once more and he surges through the middle, riding a challenge from Bissouma in the process. He overhits the pass out to Kluivert, but the referee pulls it back for that foul anyway.

The hosts win a free-kick on the left and Cook curls his cross into the box. Again, Spurs get a lot of men on the front post and they get enough on it to take it away from Billing at the far post.

Bournemouth have made a bright start to the second half and they're putting Spurs under pressure. They work it out to Cook on their left and he curls a cross in, but can only pick out Bissouma.

Postecoglou will be fairly pleased with what he saw in the first half - it took his side a while to settle down, but when they did they created some great chances. They just need to be more clinical. Despite struggling in the final third, Bournemouth have shown they're still a threat and can cause Spurs some problems with a bright start to the second half.
