Follow live coverage as AFC Bournemouth face Everton today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.

The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Bournemouth have created 1.33 expected goals so far, and perhaps should be in front if it wasn't for some excellent goalkeeping from Pickford on multiple occasions. Everton have been disappointing in the final third, producing just 0.17 expected goals with none of their five shots hitting the target. According to Opta's live win probability calculator, Bournemouth have a 47.2% chance of winning the game from here, with a draw at 33.7% and an Everton victory at 19.1%. The Toffees were forced into an early change as Broja was replaced by Calvert-Lewin due to injury. It wouldn't be a surprise to see Iraola look to add something different in the final third - could we see Brooks, Billing, or Unal introduced?

Bournemouth and Everton go into the break with the scoreline level at 0-0 in the Premier League at the Vitality Stadium. Iraola will be the happier of the two managers with his side creating plenty of opportunities, but they will need to be more clinical in the second half. The best chance of the game fell to Kluivert after he was played in behind the Everton defence by Semenyo, but his dinked effort was well saved by Pickford. Ouattara also should have found the back of the net as he arrived in the box to fire at goal from close range, but Pickford was once again equal to it.

Some good pressure from Everton sees Doucoure find Gueye on the edge of the box. He feeds Ndiaye and he wriggles his way towards goal, but Ouattara makes a last-ditch challenge to clear behind for a corner.

Ndiaye pounces on a poor pass and drives into the penalty area. He finds Lindstrom on the edge and the Danish winger fires at goal, but Calvert-Lewin gets in his way and it's comfortably over the bar.

It's a corner to Brentford after Ouattara's cross is deflected behind off Tarkowski. The corner comes into the box and it's headed away, but only as far as Christie. He sends a thunderous volley towards goal, but his effort is blocked.
