AFC Bournemouth vs Everton
Bournemouth secure a 1-0 victory over Everton in the Premier League at the Vitality Stadium. The Cherries were unfortunate not to score earlier in the game after creating a host of chances, producing 1.69 expected goals. Kluivert had the best opportunity for Bournemouth in the first half, but Pickford was equal to his effort. After the break, the Toffees showed a little more intent, but not enough threat in the final third. It felt like a goal would eventually come for Iraola's side, and it did thanks to an excellent finish from Brooks. Kerkez's floated cross fell perfectly to Brooks at the back post, and his side-footed volley found the corner. The Toffees couldn't find an equaliser, creating just 0.67 expected goals with none of their shots being on target. Up next for Bournemouth is West Brom at home in the FA Cup, while Everton will host Peterborough in the same competition. That's all for today, goodbye!
