Paul dispatched the former UFC star before challenging a UFC champion and providing an update on the Tyson fight
Jake Paul produced a fine performance to stop Mike Perry in the sixth round, as the YouTuber remained sharp and banked another brutal knockout to set up a fight with Mike Tyson.
Paul, 27, now 10-1 as a boxer, was due to box Tyson, 58, this evening, but the heavyweight legend suffered an ulcer flare-up on a flight in May.
But an impressive display here, down at cruiserweight, saw Paul drop “Platinum” Perry three times in six energy-sapping rounds, confirming the rearranged bout with boxing legend Tyson in November on Netflix.
Paul also took the opportunity to call out UFC champion Alex Pereira after the fight, although the prospect of a future meeting remains unlikely given the Brazilian’s contractual situation and UFC boss Dana White’s previous reluctance to allow his fighters to perform outside of the promotion.

Jake Paul has confirmed he will fight Mike Tyson after securing a stoppage victory over Mike Perry.
Paul forced the referee to end the context in the sixth round of the fight, which was scheduled to replace the Tyson bout after the former heavyweight world champion suffered a health scare.
But despite revealing he has options away from Tyson, Paul reached out to ‘Iron Mike’, while confirming a date for their fight.

Paul then called out the UFC champion, who has hinted at crossing over to boxing in the future.
The Brazilian remains under contract with the UFC, but immediately contacted Paul to discuss a future fight.

“Bare knuckle? Let’s do it. Or MMA. I can put my weight on him and grapple him up, let’s wrestle!”

“I didn’t feel very good tonight, I was sick, my knuckle is swollen. It was basically broken before the fight. It didn’t delay this fight [so why would it delay the Tyson fight?], I’m a warrior!
“It’d be fun [to fight Perry in a bare knuckle fight], I’d be down for it, I love combat and going to war, in two years I will be the cruiserweight champion of the world. I’m way sharper, cleaner, he hit me with one good shot. Everybody said he would knock me out.”

The left hook bounced off the top of Perry’s head, then a spear-like right came up through the middle to send him sprawling.
There was heart, but Paul beat up and dispatched Perry with an action-packed and maybe, at times, reckless display.
Mike Tyson next? It still feels strange to consider that fight, but for now it looks to be in the immediate plans for Paul and flirting with a bulkier frame and eventual move to heavyweight.
