The undefeated Nebraskan is widely considered one of the best in the sport right now, and fought for the first time in 11 months in what was an impressive performance. Brook managed to win the first two rounds but lost the third and then was quickly stopped in the fourth, with Crawford unleashing and landing nine of 11 power shots to close the show.
Brook has suffered in recent years with injury after moving up to middleweight but returned to the welterweight division with what many believed was his career on the line. The fight has been stopped after Joshua Franco’s eye was badly swollen in the first round. The referee said it was due to an accidental headbutt, but ESPN are unable to find the footage of it… this one ends as a no contest and Franco retains his title.
