Your support makes all the difference.Passport photos are rarely flattering. Mine, for example, is so bad that I routinely approach passport control with the same twitchy trepidation as an international drug smuggler.
In fact it’s a wonder I’m even allowed to leave the country, such is the international damage my hideous mugshot does to the UK’s reputation abroad.
But in further proof that celebrities are just considerably better at everything than us normals, a number of A-list passport snaps have been released that show not everybody struggles to tame the cruel photobooth.

The passports include those of Marilyn Monroe, Jacqueline Kennedy and Katherine Hepburn, and each seems to capture a star working the camera in full Hollywood mode; hair perfectly coiffed and make-up meticulously applied.
Other passports on display show a handsome Michael Hutchence gazing into the camera, and a young, immaculately dressed John F Kennedy looking every inch a future President of the United States.
Even Albert Einstein, a man not known for his looks, manages to pull off the passport photo without embarrassment; his famously wild grey hair appears far neater and his clothing more restrained than in better known photographs.
