Princess Anne in hospital with concussion after ‘being kicked by horse’

Princess Anne remains in hospital after being kicked by a horse on Sunday evening as King Charles welcomes the Japanese emperor for his state visit.

The Princess Royal, 73, suffered minor injuries to her head and a concussion after the incident at her Gatcombe Park estate.

Royal expert Michael Cole suggested to the Metro that the Palace may be downplaying her injuries: “The fact the Princess Royal was detained in hospital overnight indicates that it’s not a minor matter.”

He added: “It’s no small thing to have a concussion at any age, but at the age of 73, it could be serious.”

Meanwhile, Emperor Naruhito and his wife Empress Masako were welcomed to the UK by Prince William who escorted them to Horse Guard’s Parade.

They proceeded to enjoy a ceremonial welcome from King Charles and Queen Camilla to mark the start of their three-day visit and retreated for a private lunch inside Buckingham Palace.

Internet trolls said I was too fat to play Kate: The Crown’s Meg Bellamy

The Crown’s Meg Bellamy has revealed internet trolls said she was “too fat” to play the Princess of Wales.

The actress from Berkshire played Kate in the hit Netflix drama’s sixth and final series, which, among other things, explored the budding relationship between her character and the young Prince of Wales.

Speaking to the Mail On Sunday’s You magazine, Bellamy said: “I’d had this long day of press, it had gone well, then I went on my phone and there was all this negative stuff about my body online. The comments were mostly, ‘You’re too fat to play Kate’. That was a glimpse into being a woman in this industry.

“I thought, ‘OK, that’s a sign to distance yourself, because it doesn’t mean anything’. You can’t listen to that sort of stuff. Not least because most of it is written by internet trolls, or men called Gary who are holding a fish in their profile picture. I’ve had so many amazing things happen to me. They’re the losers for saying that. I’m living my best life over here.”

Reflecting further on the role, she said: “I’ve tried to put the character behind me. But, of course,” she added, referring to Kate’s cancer diagnosis, “I so feel for her and for the family.”

Bellamy also revealed she has the contact details of Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki, who played the late Diana, Princess of Wales, in series five and six. “She’s been so supportive. I can call her about anything”, Bellamy said.

Harry and Meghan are ‘running out of time’ if they want to rejoin royal family, suggests expert

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “running out of time” if they do still want to one day rejoin the royal family, a royal expert has suggested.

Royal commentator Richard Eden warned the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will only have a chance at being welcomed back into the fold if it is Charles who is the monarch. But he said, “Time is running out to come back while his father is still King.”

The Daily Mail diary editor also claimed the couple has become “irrelevant” to the rest of the royal family and is “not wanted” by them.

Speaking on Palace Confidential, he said: “We saw that at Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee in 2012 where it was just Harry and his brother, Camilla and Charles, and of course, the queen. Charles thought that when Harry had a family, they would be carrying out engagements and sharing those duties with William so, I think time is running out.”

He added: “I really think that when Prince William is King, I can't see him letting Harry come back and have a role again. They are irrelevant now, they are just not wanted as part of the monarchy, maybe there could be some radical change but it's hard to see.”

Fans praise Prince William’s dancing during Taylor Swift’s London Eras tour

Fans are fawning over Prince William’s dancing during Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert in London.

The Prince of Wales, 42, attended Swift’s show on June 21 at Wembley Stadium, alongside two of his and Kate Middleton’s children, Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, eight. William’s wife – who recently made her first public appearance since announcing her cancer diagnosis – and their youngest child, Prince Louis, five, were not seen at the concert.

In one video shared to TikTok, a fan documented William and his family in one of the upper-level suites of the stadium. And as Swift performed her hit song “Shake It Off”, William showed off some of his best dance moves.

Royal expert reveals reason Charles may never forgive Harry

A royal expert has revealed the reason he believes the King may never forgive his son amid the deepening rift between Harry and other members of the royal family.

Royal biographer Christopher Andersen said Charles does love his son but is finding it impossible to stop holding a grudge after what the prince wrote about his family in his memoir Spare - especially about Camilla.

Mr Andersen told Fox News Digital: “I think people have to realise that the one thing that Charles finds unforgivable is criticism of Camilla.

“Unfortunately for Harry, [he has said] some pretty devastating things about her. Prince Harry made it clear that he felt she was the villain in the piece.

"I think that still bothers the king, and I don’t know that it will be easy for him to [forgive]. I don’t think they’ll ever forgive Harry for that."

Mr Andersen added that the prince still "resents" Camilla and that he will be “on his own” until he moves past that.
