A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 29-year-old man was stabbed to death in south London.

Police and paramedics were called to a house in Clyde Road, Croydon, at around 7.40am on Sunday.

A 35-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken into custody.

The Metropolitan Police said a murder investigation had been launched by homicide detectives from the Specialist Crime Command.

It comes a week after police launched an investigation into the murder of a 59-year-old man in a flat in nearby Coulsdon.
