Man charged with murder after body found in bath
Police called to Birmingham address on Sunday morning
A man has been charged with murder after the discovery of a body in a bath.
West Midlands Police said officers were called to a house in Holly Road, Handsworth, Birmingham, at around 9am on Sunday.
The force said a man, believed to be in his 20s, was found in a bath with multiple serious injuries.
He was pronounced dead at the scene but has not yet been formally identified.
Police said a man was arrested a few miles away later on Sunday morning on train tracks near Wigmore Lane in West Bromwich.
On Monday night, the force's Homicide Unit charged David Swaby, from Holly Road, with murder.
The 33-year-old is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out to establish exactly how the victim died.
A West Midlands Police statement said: "We've charged a man with murder following the discovery of a body in the bath of a house in Birmingham on Sunday.
"Officers were called to Holly Road, Handsworth, at around 9am where they found the body of a man with multiple serious injuries.
"The victim – who was pronounced dead at the scene – has not been formally identified but is believed to be a man in his 20s.
"A man was arrested a few miles away later that morning on train tracks near Wigmore Lane in West Bromwich.
"And last night our Homicide Unit charged David Swaby, from Holly Road, with murder.
"The 33-year-old is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates on Tuesday morning.
"A post mortem examination will also be carried out later today to understand exactly how the man died. "
