Your support makes all the difference.David and Victoria Beckham have publicly congratulated their son Brooklyn and his new fiancée Nicola Peltz, after the couple announced they are engaged.
On Saturday, the former footballer’s eldest son revealed that he has asked Nicola to marry him by sharing a photo of them embracing on Instagram.
Following the announcement, David and Victoria praised the couple by re-posting their official engagement photo.
Alongside the image, which was taken by Brooklyn’s younger sister Harper, David wrote: “Congratulations to these two beautiful people as they begin this exciting journey together.
“We are so, so happy for you guys.”
Victoria also congratulated her eldest son and his fiancée, writing: “The MOST exciting news!! We could not be happier that @brooklynbeckham and @nicolaannepeltz are getting married!
“Wishing you so much love and a lifetime of happiness. We all love you both so much.“
Following growing speculation, Brooklyn confirmed that he and Nicola have been engaged for two weeks.
“Two weeks ago I asked my soulmate to marry me and she said yes. I am the luckiest man in the world,” he wrote on Instagram.
“I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day. I love you baby.”
Nicola also shared the news on her own account, writing: “You’ve made me the luckiest girl in the world. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life by your side.
“Your love is the most precious gift. I love you so, so much baby and thank you Harper for this pic.”
The couple were congratulated by a host of their celebrity friends, including Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton, who commented: “Congratulations bro” followed by a fist bump emoji.
Australian singer Cody Simpson, added: “Congratulations my brother. So happy for you! Wishing you two a lifetime of happiness.”
Victoria’s longtime friend actor Eva Longoria also sent her well-wishes to the pair, writing: “Congrats @brooklynbeckham So happy for you!!”
The newly engaged couple have been dating for around nine months and recently returned to the UK after spending lockdown together in New York.
