Gigi Hadid shares behind-the-scenes look at maternity photoshoot

The model is expecting her first child with singer Zayn Malik

Gigi Hadid has shared a behind-the-scenes look of her maternity photoshoot as she prepares to give birth.

In April, it was reported that Hadid and former One Direction band member Zayn Malik are expecting their first child together.

The on-again-off-again couple first started dating in 2015, having met at a Victoria’s Secret party.

After breaking up in 2018, they got back together shortly before Hadid’s pregnancy was announced.

Last week, Hadid shared a series of black-and-white maternity portraits on Instagram, in which the model is cradling her baby bump as she strikes a series of poses.

On Monday 31 August, the 25-year-old posted several video clips from the photoshoot on the social media platform, showing her 57.1 million followers how it was conducted amid the coronavirus pandemic.

In the first video clip, the expectant mother is wearing a translucent, ethereal dress, the garment billowing behind her as she is fanned at the photoshoot.

The second video shows Hadid in a more casual ensemble, combining a pair of oversized, open-buttoned jeans with a white crop top and gold accessories.

In the third and final clip, the fashion model is kneeling on the ground in a white gown, her hair being combed by a hair stylist who is wearing a mask.

Several Instagram users showered the mother-to-be with admiration in the comment section underneath the post.

“Come through mama,” wrote model Anok Yai, while French fashion designer Simon Porte Jacquemus described her as “so beautiful.”

The photoshoot took place on 26 July 2020, Hadid revealed on Instagram.

In one of her Instagram posts shared on Monday, the model posted a couple of black-and-white portraits alongside the caption: “33 weeks.”

Last week, singer Katy Perry and actor Orlando Bloom announced the birth of their first child together, a baby girl called Daisy Dove Bloom.

The announcement was made on behalf of the couple by Unicef, the United Nations Children’s Fund, for which Perry and Bloom are Goodwill Ambassadors.
