Brown Brothers Cienna 2013

Made in Victoria, Australia, from a cross between Cabernet Sauvignon and the Catalan Sumoll grape, the alcohol in this lovely, gently fizzy, sweetish red is reduced by arresting the fermentation process early. Bursting with rich but fresh berry flavours, it perfectly matches chocolate and, for some, spicy foods. £8.99, sandhamswine.co.uk

Fontanafredda Moscato d'Asti DOCG Moncucco 2014

From Piedmont in northern Italy, this is a delightful mouthful of spring; gorgeous, fizzy flavours of fresh flowers and orchard fruits, and beautifully clean and lively on the palate. Try it as an aperitif with nibbles or with any dessert. £9.25, greatwesternwine.co.uk

Syrah Blancat Natur 2013

A little chilling improves de-alcoholised wines, such as this effort by M&S and Torres from Catalonia in north-east Spain.
