Your support makes all the difference.Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton renew their world championship battle in the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, but it was the surprise package of Kimi Raikkonen who took pole position and will start today’s race from the front in an all-Ferrari front-row.
Vettel appeared stunned that his teammate was able to get the better of him on Saturday, but Ferrari did at least show that they continue to hold the advantage over Mercedes as Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas could only manage third and fourth respectively.
The Red Bull of Max Verstappen starts fifth but he was a second slower than Bottas in front of him, and his teammate Daniel Ricciardo starts from the back after taking a complete new power unit this weekend – along with the Sauber of Marcus Ericsson after his car was completely rebuilt on Friday night following his frightening crash in second practice.

The Italian Grand Prix starts at 2.10pm on Sunday 2 September.

The race will be shown live on Sky Sports F1 from 12.30pm, with highlights on Channel 4 from 7.45pm.

Lap 14: Raikkonen isn't getting away out in front as Hamilton is keeping him honest 1.2s behind. Vettel overtakes Sirotkin for 10th, but he radios in to say he still has damage as the balance is not good.
Lap 17: Vettel is on the chrage as he gets by the second Williams of Stroll the next time by, but as he goes for a similar move the following lap on Perez he runs deep into turn one and hands the place back, dropping a second in the process.
Lap 18: Meanwhile, Hamilton is picking up the pace and is within a second of the race leader. Vettel does get Perez at turn one this time round.
Lap 19: Lost among all of this is the fact that Verstappen is running in third, but Bottas tries to change that with a run into turn one. Verstappen responds by going deep, and cuts across the first chicane. Both drivers locked up as they turned in, and it was all a bit messy, but Verstappen holds third for now.

Lap 21: Raikkonen pits from the lead! Hamilton stays out and is given the message: "Hammer-time Lewis!"
How many laps will they leave him out for?
Lap 22: Mercedes give Hamilton another lap, despite the mechanics out in the pit lane, and he clearly feels like he's got the pace to take it to Raikkonen. The Ferrari is also flying though, and Mercedes may be hoping for Raikkonen to hit traffic to slow him down and give him the gap.
Lap 22: Hamilton flashes by the pit lane again and he's not pitting yet. Bottas meanwhile is all over the back of Verstappen but the young Dutchman is keeping his head.
Hamilton gets the message: "One more lap Lewis, let's have it."
Lap 24: Rain! Raikkonen and Ocon both report that rain has started falling out the back of the circuit, although that doesn't stop Kimi from setting a new fastest lap of the race. Vettel gets by Ocon at his favoured turn one and takes fifth.
