Trevor Noah jokes about Rudy Giuliani’s Covid diagnosis, calling him ‘least surprising victim yet’
‘He’s only got himself to blame,' late night host said
Trevor Noah has roasted Rudy Giuliani over his Covid-19 diagnoses, calling him “its least surprising victim yet”.
Donald Trump’s lawyer tested positive for the illness and is said to have been hospitalised in Washington DC.
As one of the leading forces in combating Trump’s failed presidential campaign by making unfounded claims of voter fraud, Giuliani has been photographed in several US states without wearing a mask.
Noah quipped that Giuliani “is suing to have [his test] result overturned”.
He also called the diagnosis “a terrifying new development” as “we didn’t even think that dead guys could get corona”.
Noah added: “The truth is that Rudy’s only got himself to blame for this. I mean, this dude was going all over the country refusing to wear a mask. What do you expect? If I go around licking car windshields, I can’t be shocked if I get bird flu.”
Meanwhile, Jimmy Kimmel recalled Giuliani’s past few months, which has seen him at the centre of many blunders and controversies, including a sketchy appearance in Borat 2.
Hours before Joe Biden was declared the winner of the 2020 US presidential election, Giuliani hosted a press conference that was meant to take place at the Four Seasons hotel.
However, the Trump administration accidentally booked the event to take place at Four Seasons Total Landscaping, a local business on the outskirts of Philadelphia.
“Have we ever seen a streak like this?” the late night host asked.
