The Simpsons: Watch Sideshow Bob finally kill Bart in Treehouse of Horror
Is this just another sign that the writers of the show have run out of ideas?

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. The Simpsons writers are getting a lot of grief from fans calling for the show to end soon because the ideas are running out dry.
Fox are currently airing season 27 of the show, a season that will see Smithers come out, and has re-used an 18-year-old coach gag.
In the upcoming Treehouse of Horror XXVI, Sideshow Bob will finally kill his arch nemesis, Bart Simpson, in true Itchy & Scratchy fashion.
Entertainment Weekly have released a sneak peek video showing Bob shooting Bart’s head off (!!!) followed by his corpse being reanimated, only to be killed again by a lion. Watch below.
Executive producer Al Jean had previously told a crowd at the Austin Television Festival: “As a kid I always wanted to see [Wile E.] Coyote eat The Roadrunner. Sideshow Bob will finally do something he’s been trying to do for 25 years cause it’s the Halloween show.”
Yes, Bob’s been waiting 25 years to kill Bart, and no-one's sure if they really want it to happen. Is this a sign of lazy writing, finally giving in and letting Bob kill Bart?
If you’re worried for Bart’s life, don’t: he’ll be returning next week!
