Marvel’s six-part series takes place in the immediate aftermath of Captain America’s last stand in Avengers: Endgame. Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan star as the respective heroes of the title.
So far, the show – which released its second episode “The Star-Spangled Man” last Friday (26 March) – has already introduced some new players into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including super-soldier Isaiah Bradley (played by Carl Lumbley).
Series writer Malcolm Spellman has revealed that another character will soon make their MCU debut in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
He teased the character’s arrival by telling Rotten Tomatoes TV that they would be a great match with Marvel superhero Thor.

“There are characters in our series I would love to see partnered with like – it’s a very, very grounded character – partnered with one of the big world-shakers like Thor or someone like that,” he said.
Spellman added: “The personality is so strong, it’s an episode five character. I’d love to see that character with Thor.”
Earlier this month, it was confirmed that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will set up at least three future MCU features.
With the new character being introduced in the series’ penultimate episode, it could mean that they may feature in one of the three spin-offs.
