2015's obsession is coming back onto the scene.

Netflix's Making a Murderer will return for season 2 to further feed obsessions over the case of Steven Avery, sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Teresa Halbach on 18 March, 2007. Fans may have poured over every possible detail offered by the hit documentary, but its creators promise there's more left of this story to tell.

"There is a ton of info that wasn't explored just in the confines of the episodes we've already done," Netflix's Ted Sarandos said during the TCA summer press tour (via The Wrap). "There's a lot of new information coming up".

The new episodes will follow-up with Avery and his co-defendant, Brendan Dassey, as their respective investigative and legal teams challenge their life sentences, as ordered by the State of Wisconsin; this includes exclusive access to Avery's new lawyer Kathleen Zellner and Dassey's legal team, led by Laura Nirider and Steve Drizin.

"The folks who are associated with it are under exclusive agreement with us," Sarandos continued. "The information they’re bringing up is totally proprietary. It’s going to be a fascinating follow-up."

Making A Murderer- Where are they now?

Indeed, you can find out everything we know so far about season 2 here; revealing that there's plenty of evidence that's been left out of the first season, including DNA evidence found under the hood of Halbach's car.

Netflix has yet to announce when Making a Murder season 2 will premiere.
