Over the past few months contestants have hooked up, broken up and been kicked right out of the villa as viewers voted for their favourite contestants

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The winning couple was voted for by the public, with runners-up Maura and Curtis, and Ovie and India coming 4th and 3rd, respectively.
In the live final, the couples attended a “ball” where they were able to dress up and read declarations of love to one another, with many viewers praising Greg and Ovie’s speeches for being particularly moving.
As presenter Caroline Flack announced the winning couple, Amber was shown with a shocked look on her face. As per tradition, one half of the couple was asked to choose whether to take the money for themselves or split it with their partner -- Greg chose to split the £50,000 winnings with Amber.

Was literally going to say Molly-Mae was doing really well until she said Tommy was a good "dad" to Ellie-Belly.
DANCING TIME.
This is amazing. Greg looks like so much fun. Ovie gave up after 10 seconds.
I think this whole competition has been shaken up after the final date BUT I still think Tommy and Molly-Mae are still going to win.
Right so this is creepy. Alisha has gone on the Love Island app because she's weird and wants to vote for her favourite couple. There are loads of ads for all the clothing and the app has already picked up on her name and applied to the personalised luggage!! How creepy is that?
Caroline Flack just said "don't be a dead ting" and I want to burn everything.
Maura says she can't believe the couple got this far.
Curtis looks gutted but says he's learnt a lot about himself and... you've got to be true to yourself. Regardless of people's feelings, Alisha points out.
I hate that phrase "my head was turned", like Curtis is being controlled by some kind of puppet master. You move your head on your own, Curtis.
