From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Love Island continued tonight as viewers saw the fallout of the reality series' surprise arrival of three new contestants that made good on its promise to shake things up.

The dissolution of Hayley and Eyal is a distant memory following the arrival of Megan who, despite expressing initial interest in a rather excited Dr Alex, ended up smooching Eyal on their first date together.

Samira, who had gone a full week without a date, got not one but two tonight as she got to know Josh and Charlie a little better despite reserving her interest for the latter as it emerged they have previous chatting on dating apps before the series began.

This wasn't bad news for Josh who has his eye on Hayley - but not before rubbing Wes up the wrong way by selecting Laura as his first date. It seems the game is never far from any of these contestants' minds

Slowly but surely, the fourth series is taking shape.

You can follow along with our reaction LIVE below.

Love Island continues weekday nights on ITV2 at 9pm.

"Everyone's body is immaculate" - seems new arrival Megan cares a lot about personality

Megan is a fan of Dr Alex (wooo) and Eel (she means Eyal)

Kristin Hugo11 June 2018 21:04

To be fair to Charlie, he's made Hayley laugh 100 per cent more than Eyal managed in seven days

Kristin Hugo11 June 2018 21:06

I know this is meant to be a fun reality show but does anyone else find Love Island very very stressful? Just me?

Kristin Hugo11 June 2018 21:07

Apparently, Samira "stuck it on" Charlie in the outside world. Not really sure what he means by "it" to be honest

Kristin Hugo11 June 2018 21:09

That noise you can hear is the UK screaming at their television sets, "EYAL, BORE OFF AND LEAVE DR ALEX AND MEGAN ALONE"

The Battle of Hastings. The Battle of the Boyne. The Battle of the Bastards. Now, ladies and gents, we have the Battle for Megan

So, according to Rosie, you only have a bit about you if you work out. Hmmm

Kristin Hugo11 June 2018 21:20

Josh wants to go on a date with Laura, while Megan wants to go on a date with Niall. Fair play to Wes and Georgia for those brave faces

Kristin Hugo11 June 2018 21:21

Is Georgia fuming because she actually likes Niall or because she wants to win? I ask the important questions
