Your support makes all the difference.Britain’s most beloved baking show is finally back! Bake Off returned with a batch of new contestants hoping to win over Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith’s taste buds.
The second series to air on Channel 4 kicked off with biscuit week and saw the 12 newcomers tasked with creating a set of traditional biscuits inspired by something personal to them. A gentle enough start – unlike the technical challenge, which featured some devilishly tricky marshmallow-making as the new dozen were asked to make wagon wheels.
Following a difficult showstopper that saw the bakers make selfie biscuits, France's own Manon was voted star baker, while Imelda was voted out (narrowly losing to Terry).

Antony... Antony's not doing well. He forgot the water. Everyone else seems to be doing OK. But we haven't got to the difficult bit yet...
It's Terry's worst enemy: chocolate. They're giving him a lot of screen-time, aren't they? Things are already not looking good for our moustached friend.
"Proper disaster," says Antony. These are not the best-looking Wagon Wheels ever. Then again, I wouldn't stand a chance. But I didn't apply to be on Bake Off...
Manon scoring points with Prue and Paul. Ruby also with some sturdy Wagon Wheels - not too dry this time. Terry, though... oh Terry. Poor Terry. With a rubbery wheel. Poor bloke.
Antony at the bottom. No surprises there. And Manon in third. How did she do so well if she's never seen a Wagon Wheel before? Suspicious... Anyway, Ruby wins. A great comeback.
Like me, everyone on Twitter is craving Wagon Wheels. There'll be a shortage in Sainsbury's tomorrow, mark my words.
Back again - it's the showstopper. A big biscuit selfie, a "fiendish" test that will see our newcomers truly challenged. Can Terry pull it back? Imelda's also on the ropes. But who will be the first to go?
Jon's selfie has been inspired by a sailing trip. While Briony's is about Bristol. She made hers before in four-and-a-half hours... You only have four, Briony! Hurry!!
Rahul has the tape measure out. There's always one. Meanwhile, Ruby - our technical challenge winner - has never completed hers in time. Maybe she should have done something she could actually finish?
