“I know there's been rumours going round in the press [about a feature film] - but for now, I'm very much content with it being a TV show in IMAX,” Turner said.
“I think that's an achievement in itself; so why fix it if it ain't broke?”
The comments made by the 18-year-old star, who plays Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones, contradict statements by fellow cast member Charles Dance.
Dance, who formerly played Tywin Lannister in season four, told The Daily Beast: ““There's talk of eventually trying to do a feature film, but I don't know which of the storylines [they would use]. There's so much to cram into a film.”
Even the mastermind and novelist behind Game of Thrones, George R.R. Martin, has hinted at the possibility of tying up the TV series with a feature film.
The author also said he was unsure if seven seasons would be able to fully tell the story of his A Song of Fire and Ice series.
“As I’ve been saying for years, I wish they had more hours – every time I see another HBO show I wonder why we only have 10 and they have 13,” Martin said.
Games of Thrones season five returns to Sky Atlantic on 13 April.
