After almost two weeks of unadulterated chaos, brutal nominations and silly challenges, the Celebrity Big Brother 2024 final has taken place.
David Potts has been crowned the winner in an “incredibly close” ending that saw him in the final two with Nikita Kuzmin.
The Ibiza Weekender star beat Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Kuzmin to the title, after Coronation Street actor Colson Smith finished third, former X Factor judge Louis Walsh came fourth and TV presenter Fern Britton placed fifth.
Heartstopper actor Bradley Riches was eliminated in a brutal back-door eviction in the penultimate episode.
Riches’ eviction arrived after his fellow housemates were visited by their friends and family. But when it was the Heartstopper star’s turn, he was met by Celebrity Big Brother co-host AJ Odudu, who informed him he had received the fewest votes and was the seventh housemate to be evicted.
Meanwhile, viewers have accused ITV of “fixing” the show so that Walsh could stay in until the final. Britton named Walsh as her choice for an immediate eviction, but in a plot twist orchestrated by Big Brother, he was granted immunity.
Celebrity Big Brother final airs tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
‘Celebrity Big Brother has renewed my enthusiasm for TV’, says Fern Britton
Former This Morning presenter Fern Britton has said she has a renewed sense of enthusiasm for television thanks to Celebrity Big Brother.
During the final episode of the ITV1 reality series, the author and TV presenter reflects on her time spent in the house.
She says: “I wanted to come and have a television adventure and I’ve had it… It’s injected me with enthusiasm for television again… it was just this reminder of a familiar place, and probably how much I’ve missed.”

YouTuber Zeze Millz was handed the Most Memed Moment Award on Celebrity Big Brother Late & Live for the moment she dragged a clown through the house with David Potts during a challenge.

Sharon Osbourne shares special message to finalists and winners
Sharon Osbourne sent a special message from her home in the US for the Celebrity Big Brother finalists.
“I just wanted to say congratulations to you all who made it through. You did an amazing job,” she said with her dog in her lap. “And just to let you know that I really enjoyed evryones company. I had a blast.”
She revealed she had not had any cooked meals since she got home and had some words for her friend Louis Walsh.
“Louis you are a very naughty boy, we’re going to have words.”
Two housemates missing from Celebrity Big Brother final
A handful of the former housemates were seen cheering on from the sidelines, however the uncle of the Princess of Wales, Gary Goldsmith pulled out at the last minute after Kate Middleton’s cancer announcement.
Goldsmith was the first housemate evicted from the ITV reality show, with the businessman and podcast host surviving five days before he was evicted after a public vote.
Love Island star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu did not attend after a tough few days following her eviction.
“Ekin has been a part of some of ITV’s biggest shows over the last two years, including Love Island, Dancing on Ice, her own spin off show with Davide, and now Celebrity Big Brother,” an ITV source told the Daily Mail.
“As such a lot of the team there feel very protective towards her, and it’s a real shame she won’t be at the final.”

Five stars started the final day in the house before Louis Walsh and Fern Britton were voted in fourth and fifth place respectively.
Coronation Street actor Colson Smith was then announced in third place, leaving David Potts and Nikita Kuzmin battling for the crown on Friday evening (22 March).
After more than 3.5 million votes, hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best announced the results, with David pipping Nikita to first place.
“Don’t leave me in the house on my own,” David joked after sharing a hug with runner-up Nikita.

“People see the loud mouth and see the no pants and think: ‘What’s going on here?’”
Nikita Kuzmin addresses friction with Fern Britton and reveals why he nominated her everytime
“Nomination is one of the hardest things you can experience,” professional dancer, Nikita Kuzmin shared.
“It was simply because I was hanging out with the group we had, Colson, David, Bradley and it was really because nobody else was left [to vote for].”
But he shared positive words about the TV presenter saying, “She was briliant, she was the mum of the house and I didn’t have enough other reasons.”

After two weeks of unadulterated chaos, shock plot twists and brutal face-to-face nominations, the public has crowned the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2024.
David Potts was triumphant during the live show, after he won over the hearts of viewers who have praised Ibiza Weekender star for his matter-of-fact nature, friendly banter and hilarious conversations with Big Brother in the diary room.
During his final night on the show he said, “Sometimes I think people think I’m just a loud mouth and long legs”.
