Melissa Fumero, who stars as Sergeant Amy Santiago in the popular sitcom, confirmed the date on her Instagram page with a poster showing the main characters, and the caption: “No more Mr Noice Guys.”
The show’s network NBC recently said the forthcoming series will be 13 episodes long. However, Deadline points out that the same was said of the previous season, which turned out to include an additional five episodes.
Last year, Brooklyn Nine-Nine was dropped by Fox, which cited falling viewing figures. After an outpouring of upset and support from fans, the show was then “saved” by NBC for a seventh and final season to wrap up the show.
A viral video shared in 2019 showed cast and crew members reacting to the news that the show had been given the green light for another series.
