Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been renewed for a seventh season by NBC.

The show’s official Twitter account shared a video revealing the moment the cast – including Andy Samberg, Terry Crews and Melissa Fumero – heard the news.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine made a miraculous return on NBC after being cancelled by original broadcaster Fox last year, citing a lack of room on their upcoming schedule to continue the cop comedy.

Unfortunately, the network failed to count on how beloved the series really was, as thousands of fans expressed outrage online. Soon enough, though, NBC came to the rescue, snatching the series from Fox and saving the day.

Season six debuted in the US in January, with seven of 18 episodes having aired so far. The show continues to air in the UK on E4.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine first debuted in 2013 and has since won two Golden Globes, one for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy and one for Samberg for Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy.
