This election is still a dead heat, according to most polls. In a fight with such wafer-thin margins, we need reporters on the ground talking to the people Trump and Harris are courting. Your support allows us to keep sending journalists to the story.

At the time of writing, the Game of Thrones season 6 premiere is still 13 days, 14 hours and 57 minutes away, but the events of the first episode - entitled 'The Red Woman' - including an update on that big question, appear to have started leaking online.

It’s all down to the premiere having taken place in LA last night, and though HBO likely begged all guests to keep quiet, one or two couldn’t resist spilling.

You might want to avoid certain corners of Reddit in the coming days then, and consider muting Game of Thrones as a topic on Twitter.

Or, if you have absolutely no self control, a viewer claims to be dishing out all the details here on IMDb, though these haven't been verified yet.

The Game of Thrones cast have been on an extensive promo tour the last few weeks, and are clearly getting a little tired of being quizzed on Jon Snow’s mortality.

Maisie Williams wrote on Instagram today: ”When people in every direction like, 'is Jon Snow alive?', 'what are your views on feminism', 'you have a plan for when GoT finishes'.

"And you're just stood there thinking 'could honestly do with some fried chicken right now.’”

Game of Thrones season 6 arrives on HBO and Sky Atlantic on 24 April.
