A new clip of season six of Game of Thrones debuted on Conan, expanding on the ‘mic drop’ moment from the trailer.

In the short teaser, Ser Davos, played by Liam Cunningham - who was promoting the show on Conan - is seen seemingly protecting Jon Snow’s body from numerous other members of the Night’s Watch.

Snow’s direwolf, Ghost, is also seen, baring teeth while Alliser Thorne leads more men into the room as they attempt to break in. The result of the clash is not seen, however, speculation over why Ser Davos is protecting the body has run rampant on the internet.

Previously, Cunningham spoke about the moment from the trailer, saying: “Where we leave this, with Jon being dead, there’s still a few of his loyal people around that certain parties in Castle Black are not going to want to have around.

“There’s a threat implicit in the thing. I’m obviously in some way about to defend or attack or whatever it may be. It’s evidently still Castle Black, Ghost’s there. So there is a certain threat there, but who it comes from would be remiss of me to inform you.”

Interestingly, he also added that his character ad Melisandre form a bond over the loss of Stannis and Jon Snow: “We both lost Stannis. We both lost our reason for being in the show. Also, both of us have found ourselves leaning towards Jon Snow. She has seen something in the flames about this dude. I have found, while talking with Stannis to Jon, that this guy is a fellow traveler. He’s the real deal. He’s a good guy.”

While on Conan, Cunningham also spoke about author George RR Martin and the secret about the show only he knows. Unfortunately, an HBO sniper was present and would have taken out Cunningham if he revealed the information.

Meanwhile, Melisandre actor Carice van Houten has spoken about how her character will ‘completely change’ in the upcoming season.
