Which British stars are nominated for Golden Globes?

Andrew Scott has confirmed that he will be reuniting with his Fleabag screenwriter and co-star Phoebe Waller-Bridge on a mystery project, but shot down speculation that it is a spin-off revolving around his character, dubbed the Hot Priest.

Scott stole scenes as an object of lust for Waller-Bridge’s Fleabag in the second and final series of the BBC comedy series.

Appearing on the red carpet for tonight’s Golden Globes, Scott told Variety reporter Mark Malkin that the experience was so enjoyable that the pair will be working together again soon.

“Hot Priest, something’s coming! You’re doing a spin-off, huh?” Malkin asked.

“No Hot Priest spin-off, that’s all over,” Scott clarified. “Phoebe and I are going to work on something completely different.”

Malkin previously told Scott that he had heard rumours that the spin-off was in the works.

“Your sources have to be shot,” Scott joked.

Waller-Bridge has kept her cards close to her chest in regards to her next project, following the end of Fleabag and the sold-out final run of the one-woman stage play that inspired it.

In June, she revealed that she was working on a “very strange” film script, but refused to elaborate.

“I was like, ‘God, it’s been amazing, but I’m never going to have another idea.’ And then I went to sleep. I woke up and I had this idea for this movie in my head,” she said.

Scott and Waller-Bridge’s performances in Fleabag are both nominated for awards at tonight’s Golden Globes, which will be hosted by Ricky Gervais.
