Your support makes all the difference.The BBC has confirmed the date when Jed Mercurio’s hit thriller Line of Duty will return to television screens.
In a teaser played out during the Six Nations coverage on BBC One, the broadcaster announced that season six of the police corruption drama will air on Sunday 21 March at 9pm.
Vicky McClure, Adrian Dunbar and Martin Compston will return alongside Shalom Brune-Franklin, a new addition to AC-12.
Kelly Macdonald makes her debut as guest lead Detective Chief Inspector Joanne Davidson, the senior investigating officer on an unsolved murder case whose suspicious conduct attracts the attention of the anti-corruption team.

Creator Mercurio previously said his scripts for the upcoming series are “ludicrously implausible”.
Writing on Twitter, Mercurio said he was “humbly grateful to the whole cast” of Line of Duty “for making great drama out of the ludicrously implausible scripts in today’s readthrough for series six”.

The new series will be the longest ever at seven episodes, and will air weekly on BBC One on Sundays.
