Drake has had a busy 15 months. It all began last year when he released the mixtape If You're Reading This It's Too Late, followed by Future collaboration What a Time to Be Alive.

Then there was the almost chart-topping “Hotline Bling”, diss-tracks “Charged Up” and "Back to Back”, and most recently the leaked Controlla”, “These Days” and “Faithful”.

Somewhere, in amongst all these releases, the rapper has found time to record the long awaited album Views from the 6, which now has a release date: 29 April.

Drake announced the date on his Beats Radio show, while also debuting a new version of Jay-Z and Kanye West featuring “Pop Style” (the track now featuring neither Thrones artists). Listen via Complex.

As well as “Pop Style”, the already released “One Dance” and “Summer Sixteen” are set to feature on the album, as are some of the previously leaked tracks (however, there has been no confirmation from the OVO camp).

Speaking about View from the 6, long-time collaborator Noah “40” Shebib said: “It’s going to be what everybody expects and wants from Drake and from us. A lot of introspection, very vivid. He’s discovering new flows, new cadences, new patterns.”

Beats-wise, “I’m trying to find ways to pull more untraditional sounds in, to push the boundaries a little further. Something about it should be special.”
