Just days after two new Drake songs leaked online – both reportedly from his upcoming album Views from the Six – another track has hit the internet.

“Faithful” features the late Chad Lamont Butler, aka Pimp C, who died in 2007. Drake has often cited his adoration for the producer, having featured on the posthumous track “What Up” from the album The Naked Soul of Sweet Jones.

Unlike the two recently leaked songs “Controlla” and “These Days”, this track is a return to older Drake sounds, featuring a sampled vocal production overlaid with a deep bass drum and hard hitting snares. The track will likely not feature on Drake’s upcoming album as it is thought to have been recorded over five years ago.

While streams of “Faithful” are being taken down all over the internet, for now, it remains up on the below video player.

Meanwhile, Drake is rumoured to be working on a remix of “Wolves” with Kanye West, while Hudson Mohawke recently threatened to leak his music for not paying the producer properly.

Speaking about View from the 6, long-time collaborator Noah “40” Shebib said: “It’s going to be what everybody expects and wants from Drake and from us. A lot of introspection, very vivid. He’s discovering new flows, new cadences, new patterns.”

Beats-wise, “I’m trying to find ways to pull more untraditional sounds in, to push the boundaries a little further. Something about it should be special.” The album is set to drop sometime this April.
