Godzilla: King Of The Monsters - Trailer 3

The first reactions to new Godzilla film, King of the Monsters, are rolling in.

American critics lucky enough to have seen the film have been invited to share their feedback for the Warner Bros release.

According to many, the film is a vast improvement on 2014 film Godzilla with Collider's Steven Weintraub calling it "everything I wanted the last movie to be and more."

Nerdist writer Dan Casey suggested the film was even more fun than blockbuster Avengers: Endgame, tweeting: "Easily the most fun I've had in theatres all year... the scale is mind-boggling."

Megan Peters of ComicBook.com called the film "breathtaking", adding it was "the film [she's] waited years for".

The new film, directed by Krampus' Mike Dougherty, stars Kyle Chandler, Millie Bobby Brown, Sally Hawkins O'Shea Jackson.

You can find a roundup of reactions below.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters is released on 31 May.
