From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

This year’s Super Bowl featured dozens of exciting trailers (and an entire surprise movie release), one of the most notable being a new spot for Avengers: Infinity War.

The 30-second clip featured dozens of popular superheroes, including Black Panther, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Black Widow, Captain America, Doctor Strange, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and more.

Last year, an extended trailer was released, featuring more footage of the villain Thanos. Watch that clip here.

The official synopses for the sequel reads: "An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time.

“The Avengers and their superhero allies must willing to sacrifice it all in an attempt to defeat the power of Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.”

The Russo Brothers — Anthony and Joe — who helmed Captain America: Winter Soldier and Civil War return as directors for Infinity War while Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have penned the script.

The movie reaches UK cinemas 27 April. Before then, Marvel fans have Black Panther, the Wakanda-based adventure reaching cinemas 12 February.
