The Iron Man star, who turns 54, has been celebrating in Los Angeles and his co-stars have come out in full force to send him well wishes.
Gwyneth Paltrow kicked off the birthday love, while Thor: Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson sent him a video direct from their forthcoming film Men In Black: International.
Captain America actor Chris Evans and Mark Ruffalo – who plays Hulk – thanked the actor for his “leadership” and for “carrying” the Avengers franchise for the last 10 years.
Chadwick Boseman, who’ll return as Black Panther in Avengers: Endgame, also shared a birthday message for the actor on Twitter. saying: “Impossible not to love this guy.”
Directors the Russo brothers praised him as “the man” while Jeremy Renner called him his “brother in arms”.
The synopsis for Endgame reads: “The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame.”
While it doesn’t reveal any details about specific plot points in the final Avengers film, it does heighten the excitement for what is sure to be one of the biggest events in the history of cinema – and also promises the end of the Avengers as we know them.
The film will be released in the UK on 25 April.
