From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Directed by F Gary Gray (The Fate of the Furious, The Italian Job), the film – a spin-off sequel to Will Smith’s Men in Black trilogy – also stars Liam Neeson, Rebecca Ferguson, Kumail Nanjiani, Rafe Spall, Laurent Bourgeois and Larry Bourgeois.
Emma Thompson reprises her role as Agent O from Men in Black 3. Although the trailer features references to the Smith and Tommy Lee Jones films, the duo are not expected to appear in the upcoming spin-off.
Hemsworth and Thompson last appeared side-by-side in the Marvel blockbuster Thor: Ragnarok, with the duo seemingly hoping to recreate that same comic tone in Men in Black: International.

The official synopsis for the film reads: "The Men in Black have always protected the Earth from the scum of the universe. In this new adventure, they tackle their biggest, most global threat to date: a mole in the Men in Black organisation."
Men in Black: International reaches cinemas Summer 2019.
